“Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” The rainbow prism. “There's no place like home.” “Home, home again.” “If I only had a brain.” “Brain Damage.” Do you see the connection? If you do, you must be stoned, and that's okay. In fact, WTF?! Festival's screening of The Wizard of Oz synchronized with The Dark Side of the Moon is pretty much a sober-free event. The more-than-100 alleged coincidences between the 1939 movie and Pink Floyd's classic 1973 album — also known as Dark Side of the Rainbow and The Wizard of Floyd — including lyrics and themes, is an urban legend that's been as rampant as sightings of Big Foot and the Loch Ness Monster. And to that we'd like to add Doctor Doolittle synchronized with the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds , and National Velvet with Patti Smith's Horses. Draw your own conclusions.
