If the last time you tried your hand at erotica was when you were going to school at a small Midwestern college and you never believed something like that could have happened to you, then the Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction Writing Workshop is right up your alley. Started in Seattle, the CEFF is equal parts comedy and erotica — when it comes to this kind of sexual expression, you know you'll be laughed at for all the right reasons — and features 10 comics (with veterans like the beatboxing Baron Vaughn, depressed Bostonian Rob Delaney and the charming and chortlesome Claudia Cogan) writing, editing and, yes, performing the erotica they've written. The inspiration for the stories comes from either audience suggestions or from their fertile, febrile imaginations, so you never know if you'll get a hotbed of good-looking sexuality or a waterbed of dowdy floppiness. It's best to just enjoy the laughs as they come — if you're complaining about the quality of erotica here, you might as well also protest against all the sex and violence on your DVD player. Nerdmelt at Meltdown Comics, 7522 Sunset Blvd., Hlywd.; Tues., Dec. 18, 8:30 p.m., $10, $8 in advance. (323) 851-7223, meltcomics.com.
