On Friday, July 22, “Weird Al” Yankovic performed with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, conducted by Thomas Wilkins, to promote his new album Mandatory Fun. With at least a dozen or more costume changes, Yankovic played all the classics, including “Eat It,” “Like a Surgeon,” “Fat” and “Smells Like Nirvana,” as well as some new tracks, like “Word Crimes,” “Foil” and “Tacky.” A cappella group Straight No Chaser opened the evening.
