FRIDAY, JUNE 21

Devendra wears his mega-dick and plays in Megapuss. Crazy.

If you don't know by now, Megapuss is the side project Devendra Banhart (sorry, but if he's ballsy enough to put those glasses on in front of paparazzi, we're kind of compelled to use the photo). He's playing a secret show tonight at the Not To Be Reproduced gallery in Hollywood. For information on location, check their website, or call 323-472-7000. Oh, and set time is expected to be around 9PM. The band's debut is finished, and due to hit later in the year.

If you feel like getting your proverbial clock cleaned, check out Spaceland for some of America's greatest noise purveyors: Wolf Eyes from Seattle, and the ever-amazing John Weise from LA. Above clip is Wolf Eyes teaming with Lightning Bolt and the entire Load posse for an hour long video mix. This is awesome, if you have an hour to burn.

Here's RZA and GZA with Bill Murray from Coffee and Cigarettes.

RZA aka Bobby Digital aka the mastermind of the Wu-Tang Clan aka the creator of WuChess is playing at the Music Box at the Henry Fonda Theater tonight.

SATURDAY, JUNE 22

I'm heading to the Make Music Pasadena Festival for some of the area's best artists. Fantastic line up here, but make sure you swing by for Bostich + Fussible, to members of the Nortec Collective. As well: Kinky, Raveonettes, Autolux, Dengue Fever, Jesca Hoop and Afrobeat Down.

SUNDAY, JUNE 22

Glasgow's Frightened Rabbit hits the Roxy, along with Oxford Collapse and Sunny Day Sets Fire.

And Earth Wind and Fire perform with Macy Gray at the Greek Theatre. Watching the clip above, I reminded that although we have made so many advances in the years since this clip was made, we've lost so much, too. Where has this sort of joy gone in music? Huh? Devendra? You wanna bring it back?
