LAPD's DUI crackdowns are usually predictable, focusing on the usual areas of Hollywood, Koreatown, downtown, South L.A. and certain parts of the Valley.

For the first time in months the department is setting up on the Westside, … albeit in a black neighborhood. (Do white people drink and drive too?)

Today from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. there will be another DUI saturation patrol, this one in the LAPD's Harbor Division area that includes San Pedro, Wilmington and Harbor Gateway.

Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. there will be an LAPD DUI checkpoint operating on La Cienega Boulevard at Sawyer street in the Crestview neighborhood of the department's West Los Angeles Division.
