The LAPD is prepared to make this your least favorite month of all time. It has weekend DUI checkpoints ready for you in Koreatown, South L.A. and Sherman Oaks — starting tonight:

Tonight a DUI checkpoint will be operating at South Vermont Avenue and West Sixth Street from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Friday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. they're back, this time at Manchester and Denver avenues in South Los Angeles.

Saturday it's Sherman Oaks' turn for a DUI checkpoint: It will be at Ventura Boulevard and Columbus Avenue from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

-Finally, also on Saturday, there will be a drunk-driver saturation patrol in the LAPD's 77th Street Division area from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
