April showers bring May flowers. Sure. But an April DUI will only bring you misery for months and years to come. The AAA of Southern California now estimates that the cost of a DUI conviction is $15,649.

At the same time, cops across the Southland are giving you an easy out. They're giving you a virtual DUI checkpoint cheat sheet because they want you to realize they're out there waiting for you. Here are the answers to a $15,649 question:

Tonight from 6 p.m. to midnight there will be a DUI checkpoint at South Western Avenue and 39th Street in South Los Angeles.

Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. there will be a checkpoint at Hollywood Boulevard and Orange Grove Avenue in Hollywood.

Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. cops will be looking for drunk drivers at Hyperion Avenue and Scotland Street in Silver Lake.

Tonight from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. there will be a DUI checkpoint somewhere in West Hollywood, according to sheriff's officials.

Tonight from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. there will be a checkpoint at an undisclosed location in the Santa Clarita Valley, according to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.

Saturday there's a checkpoint from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Roscoe Boulevard at Gloria Avenue in Van Nuys.
