Artist, filmmaker and all-around fascinating guy David Lynch curated his Festival of Disruption at the historic Ace Hotel in downtown L.A. over the Oct. 14-15 weekend. Besides sets by big-name bands like Bon Iver, The Kills and TV on the Radio, the weekend featured talks with Lynch, Sheryl Lee (aka Laura Palmer) and legendary L.A. artist Ed Ruscha; an exhibit of art by Lynch and William Eggleston; movie screenings, including a showcase of rare Lynch shorts; and even transcendental meditation with Bill Hader and Pete Holmes. It's like spending a weekend inside Lynch's brain, and all the proceeds benefited the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace.
