“Used to mess up my high when I passed the law / Now I got myself a medical card.”

There've been plenty of musical paeans to Miss Mary Jane, and at least one famous rapper has publicly acknowledged that he's a card-carrying member of the “doin' it all legal” tribe.

But it's fair to say that the medical marijuana movement is lacking a theme song, and that one of Southern California's stony denizens should make moves to remedy that.

Well, one has: Oxnard rapper and longtime Stones Throw artist MED, a.k.a. Medaphoar, previously heard on records by Madvillain, Quasimoto, Madlib and others.

Is this the theme that was so desperately needed, or should MED go back to the smoke lodge drawing board? Let us know in the comments.
