“Dude, you're everywhere right now.”

So speaketh an aviators-wearing douchebag type to L.A. soul sensation Mayer Hawthorne in the musician's latest video — an ad for Mazda.

Hawthorne's got a tradition of clever clips, and this latest one, which also serves to promote his next tour, is no exception.

After waking up in bed already wearing his Sunday's best, Hawthorne hits the town (Silver Lake, specifically) and winds up running into six different versions of himself — he's everywhere.

Hawthorne also released a new song in honor of this fruitful new commercial collabo, ironically titled “No Strings.” It's produced by L.A. duo Classixx (who've remixed Yacht and Phoenix) and it's not throwback soul.

We're hoping this starts a new meme: “No throwsoul” (rhymes with “no homo”).

Watch the ad (it's funny) and download the song (it's great) …

As the download requires you to give Mazda your email address, Hawthorne's label Stones Throw has been kind enough to offer a streaming version via SoundCloud:

Don't like it as much as we do? Hawthorne's soliciting fan reviews via his Twitter account (@MayerHawthorne: “What's the word on the new tune? Bump it? Or dump it?”), so let him know. But first, watch the video below.
