A bench warrant for Lindsay Lohan's arrest was issued Thursday after she failed to check in at a Beverly Hills court as scheduled in connection with a 2007 plea deal for driving under the influence.

The actress is in Cannes for the film festival there; her attorney told ABC7 that she couldn't return because she lost her passport. Lohan's bail was set at $100,000, and she now faces a trio of conditions for her freedom:

No alcohol, at least until she checks in at court; she must wear a device that measures the presence of alcohol; and she has to submit to drug and alcohol testing once a week until her probation is over.

Jane Robison of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office downplayed the warrant, saying it was routine in such circumstances and that defendants usually get an unspoken grace period of a few days to show up.
