Dennis RomeroThere's way more to the story of mixed martial artist Jonathan “War Machine” Koppenhaver's alleged attack on porn star Christine “Christy Mack” Mackinday and her male companion earlier this month.
In their arrest warrant request for the fighter, who was captured Friday at a Simi Valley hotel, police say that victim “Mackinday was further found to have [been] sexually assaulted by Koppenhaver.”

The document was released to the Weekly and other outlets by the Clark County District Attorney's office this week. It offers graphic accounts of the alleged attack reported early on August 8 in Mackinday's Las Vegas residence:

Police say that Koppenhaver kicked Mackinday in the ribs while she assumed the fetal position, punched her teeth out and and threatened her with a knife.
The warrant declaration from Det. D. Tomaino filters interviews and information he collected from other officers and from Mackinday and her companion that night.
The warrant report contradicts parts of Mackinday's own narrative, posted on her Twitter account, including her assertion that she and Koppenhaver had broken up.
Police say she told them that the fighter was indeed her boyfriend of 15 months. In fact, police report that she acknowledged that Koppenhaver had a key to the home, which is what he allegedly used to enter the place about 1:30 a.m. on August 8.

While Mackinday told her Twitter followers that she and her companion were fully clothed when Koppenhaver allegedly burst into her home, cops say that the fighter found her clothed in bed with the guy, whom she said she had been seeing for a few months and had previously had sex with, though not on that occasion.
She told police that the MMA athlete from San Diego first pummeled her companion in his face, punching him about 15 times and then threatening to get his friends to beat him up if he went to police, cops said in the document.
While the fighter was beating her companion, police say Mackinday called 911 from an 818 area-code smartphone and left the line open, ostensibly hoping authorities would figure out where she was and send help.
The companion ultimately fled to his workplace and called authorities before he was hospitalized, authorities said. Koppenhaver then allegedly turned his fists on Mackinday, pummeling her face and lacerating her liver, police said.
Cops say he went through her phone and hit her with a fist or open hand every time he found a social media post he didn't like.
Mackinday said on Twitter that Koppenhaver made her undress and take a shower and that he had threatened to rape her but retreated when he couldn't get an erection.
But cops allege that he did sexually assault her by using a finger to penetrate her as she was nude in her bathroom. They say Koppenhaver told Mackinday, “That's my pussy and I'm going to take it back now.”
However, the sex-related allegation levied against the fighter was suspicion of “open and gross lewdness”—not of sexual assault or rape, the document shows.
In the bathroom, the fighter kicked her in the ribs, punched out two of her teeth, and put a knife to her throat, police said. He finally went to the kitchen and made the kind of noise that made Mackinday believe he was searching for a sharper implement to, as cops paraphrased it, “finish the job,” police alleged.At that point Mackinday ran out of the residence, knocked on doors, and found a neighbor to call authorities, police said. Koppenhaver fled in his Prius, and authorities believed he was headed to San Diego, according to Vegas cops. But he ended up in his former hometown, Simi Valley.
Both Mackinday and her companion sustained facial fractures, cops say. She also suffered a fractured rib, they said. She took to Twitter to thank a dentist for offering to fix her teeth.
