68-Year-Old Driver Dies in Accident on US 50 and Casey Road in Fallon

FALLON, NV (June 25, 2021) – Monday afternoon on June 14, 68-year-old Walter Horn was killed in a fatal crash on Casey Road and US 50.

The crash took place at U.S. 50 and Casey Road, as stated by the report. Emergency crews arrived to the area shortly after.

A silver 2017 Chevrolet Silverado was heading east on U.S. 50 towards Casey Road. There, a gray 2008 Chevrolet Silverado was stopped behind a white 2014 Chevrolet Cruze at the red traffic signal.

According to NHP, the driver of the silver 2017 Silverado failed to brake in time and consequently struck the back of the gray Silverado, which then collided with the white Cruze.

The driver of the silver 2017 Silverado, Walter Horn of Sparks, was later pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information has been released to the public at this time. Meanwhile, the crash is still under active investigation.
