1 Killed in Redding Pedestrian Hit-and-Run on South Bonnyview Road

REDDING, CA (June 15, 2021) – Early Wednesday morning, Wally Wayne Rogers was killed in a fatal hit-and-run crash on South Bonnyview Road.

The tragic hit-and-run took place on South Bonnyview Road, east of East Bonnyview Road. Officers arrived to the scene around 4:53 a.m., on June 9.

According to authorities, an unidentified driver struck Rogers on the road under unknown circumstances. Following the impact, the driver fled the scene.

When paramedics arrived, they discovered that the pedestrian had already died from major traumatic injuries.

At this time, officials said there was no description of the suspect or vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.

However, an active investigation is still ongoing.
