Fatal Police Pursuit Ends in Collision on Pershing Avenue

STOCKTON, CA (February 18, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, 42-year-old Waldric Earvin was killed in a solo-car crash on Bristol Avenue.

According to reports, officers responded to the scene around 2:10 p.m., on Pershing and Bristol Avenue.

Per reports, police officers attempted to stop a vehicle, but the driver failed to halt and attempted to flee the scene. Eventually, the driver ended up slamming into a tree near Bristol and Pershing Avenue.

Due to the impact of the crash, medics transported one man to a local hospital for further treatment. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.

No other injuries were reported in the crash. Meanwhile, the crash prompted the closure of several streets while the authorities conducted the investigation.

Officials advised drivers to avoid the area while crews cleared the scene. This crash is the second in a series of deadly attacks in the region in recent months.

At this time, an active investigation into the deadly accident is still underway.
