Everything Is Terrible! Holiday Special 2013! is at the Echo tonight at 7 p.m. This comedy event promises to be “the tackiest winter wonderland imaginable,” offering a combination of found-footage clips and a live stage show that includes puppets. Also in the lineup is Santa Claus himself. Tickets are $10.

Catch the last day of the Imaginese Arts Festival, which started Dec. 7, at the Attic Theater with the Imaginese Film Night. Beginning at 8 p.m. is a screening of Belief, a dark comedy short about two friends discussing God and Santa. Then, in case you missed its Nov. 1 opening at Downtown Independent, see Lowlands — a feature that explores Los Angeles through eight different stories. Before the films, the Mae Koo photography exhibit will be open at 7 p.m. — wine and beer bar included. Tickets available at imaginesefestival.bpt.me.

Tuesday, Dec. 24

On Christmas Eve at 7:30 p.m., Laemmle Theatres hosts a Sing-Along Fiddler on the Roof event at its cinemas around town. In Norman Jewison's 1971 adaptation of the Broadway musical, Tevye, father of five daughters, finds himself straying from tradition, as his oldest daughters choose love over the custom of an arranged marriage by a matchmaker.

Thursday, Dec. 26

The post-Christmas good cheer continues at the Aero Theatre with the Screwball Comedy Series, running through Jan. 2. On Thursday, the series starts off with a double feature of W.C. Fields films at 7:30 p.m. First is The Bank Dick, in which Fields plays a man who accidentally catches a bank robber and becomes a bank's security guard, and then it's the 80th-anniversary screening of Tillie and Gus, in which Gus (Fields) combines forces with his ex-wife to get her niece's inheritance back from the lawyer who swindled her.
