Two Injured in Motorcycle Collision near Highway 49 in Sonora

SONORA, CA (January 20, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, Virginia Rose Hahn and James Ashley Burroughs were hurt in a crash on Shaw Flat Road.

The incident took place around 4:30 p.m., near the intersection of Highway 49 and Shaws Flat Road.

Per reports, Hahn was driving a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta north on the highway when she halted to turn left near Shaws Flat Road.

Meanwhile, Burroughs was riding his 2008 Husqvarna motorcycle behind her. He was unable to break in time, and ended up rear-ending Hahn’s Volkswagen, consequently ejecting him from the bike.

Paramedics arrived and rushed 39-year-old Burroughs, of Sonora to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, medics treated 20-year-old Virginia Rose Hahn, of Sonora for minor injuries at the scene.

An active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
