As we usher in the first day of fall this week, it’s time to get mulling and fill the house with the aromas of cinnamon, cloves and apple cider. Chef Megan Mitchell, whose Grilling For Beginners is currently streaming on the Magnolia Network, shared her thirst-quenching recipes to watch the leaves fall by.

Mulled Sweet Tea

2 cinnamon sticks

2 star anise

18.5 ounce bottle Pure Leaf Sweet Tea

16 ounces apple cider

Directions:

In a medium saucepan combine the cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise, 1 orange cut into rounds, Pure Leaf Sweet Tea and apple cider. Bring up to heat on medium and then simmer on low for 15 minutes.

Strain into mugs or glasses with handles and serve warm with the extra orange rounds and a cinnamon stick for stirring.
