Best known for Truth Serum With Aida Rodriguez on YouTube  and her performance in The Comedian,  everything about social justice crusader Rodriguez is spicy, including her taste in margaritas.

Fresh off her most recent stand-up on the Netflix comedy special, Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready, the comedienne is currently quarantining at home with family in L.A.,  spending  her days developing and writing her first TV series with Haddish.

With most of her material stemming from personal turmoil and a turbulent childhood, Rodriguez tackles subjects like racism and misogyny without mincing words.  Having survived homelessness while living in a car with her two kids, the NBC’s Last Comic Standing finalist of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent uses comedy to cope —and an occasional margarita.  Watch her make a blended spicy mango margarita over ice for us with agave, lime and orange juice and hot sauce in a Tajin-rimmed glass.

“I remember having my first margarita on South Beach in Miami in the ’90s,” the outspoken Rodriguez tells  L.A. Weekly. “ I knew at that very moment — one was not enough.”
