Updated at 3:20pm: CHP is looking for more information on the victim. Originally posted at 12:07pm

Let's say you're driving down I-5, jamming out to Drake's “Take Care,” and you see four men on the side of the road at what appears to be the start of an altercation–what do you do?

If you were this passing motorist, you whip out your camera phone and catch the whole thing–from the heated words, to the muay thai kicks and punches, to the license plate number of the VW Jetta in which three assailants flee the scene–on video.

Fair warning: it's pretty graphic…

That license plate number, by the way, is 3UGW962.

According to the user who posted the video, the cameraman who originally uploaded it to YouTube (it has since been removed) said the incident took place June 12 on Interstate 5, near enough to downtown that the L.A. skyline is visible in the background.

We're waiting for more information from California Highway Patrol. If you recognize that stretch of Southern California freeway, let us know in the comment section.

Update 3:20pm: CHP responds

Officer Chris Baldonado with the California Highway Patrol, Central Los Angeles

Division, confirms that the incident took place on June 12, on the northbound side of Interstate 5 approaching 7th street.

He says that while CHP was not on-scene at the accident, “We aware of the situation and are investigating it. Right now we are trying to find information on the victim.”
