24-Year-Old Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Accident near Highway 1

WATSONVILLE, CA (May 16, 2022) – 24-year-old Victor Gonzalez Paredes Jr. died Thursday, in a pedestrian hit-and-run on Main Street.

The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m., on Main Street near Highway 1.

As per reports, the driver of a vehicle passing through the lanes struck Paredes Jr. After the impact, the driver continued to drive away and did not stop to render aid to the victim.

Due to the impact of the collision, the man sustained fatal injuries and died on the scene.

Further circumstances surrounding the crash remain unknown. However, officials believe the suspect vehicle is a dark-colored sedan and it is expected to have right front-end damage.
