Hit-and-Run Accident on Van Buren Boulevard Left Pedestrian Killed

MORENA VALLEY, CA (March 21, 2022) – Tuesday morning, Victor Gonzales died in a hit-and-run crash on Van Buren Boulevard.

According to the officials, the deadly incident happened around 1:30 a.m., on the 6000 block of Van Buren Boulevard.

For reasons unknown, the driver of a vehicle hit 30-year-old Gonzales while he was crossing the roadway. Paramedics arrived and eventually pronounced Gonzales dead, due to the extent of his injuries.

About three hours later, police stopped a driver whose vehicle had major front-end damage. Police Officers arrested the man on suspicion of DUI and felony hit-and-run.

As a result, the involved driver was placed under custody at the Robert Presley Detention Center with bail set at $75,000. At this time, an active investigation into the fatal collision is still currently underway.
