Two 19-Year-Old Victims Killed in Rollover Crash near Southcenter

TUKWILA, WA (November 18, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, Victor Castro and Alexa Gaytan Solis were killed in an accident on Interstate 5.

The incident occurred around 12:19 a.m., on the southbound lanes of the highway. First responders arrived to the scene near Southcenter.

According to reports, Castro was driving the vehicle at a high rate of speed when he lost control for reasons unknown. The vehicle then spun out on the roadway before striking a barrier on the driver’s side.

Authorities located the vehicle flipped on its roof upon arrival. As a result, rescuers were unable to enter the vehicle.

The driver, Victor M Castro of Seattle, and the passenger Alexa Solis of Renton, were pronounced dead at the scene. Both victims were not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

At this time, is is still unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved.
