The American Legion Hollywood Post 43 Theater Drive-In will celebrate Veterans Day with a special screening of Good Morning, Vietnam on Wednesday, November 11 at 8:30 p.m. The screening will kick off a month-long food drive to support Food on Foot, an organization that supports the homeless and food banks.

Donated food items that are ready to eat and don’t require kitchen preparation, like cans, boxes, bottles, protein bars, nuts, chips and peanut butter are requested and can be dropped off during check-in upon arrival. Donations to the food drive will continue through the month of November at Legion Drive-In screenings which include Legally Blond, Moonstruck, Robocop, The Terminator and a Sean Connery tribute.

“Our presentation of Good Morning, Vietnam is a celebration of veterans everywhere,” Legion Theater director Bill Steele said in a press release. “We are proud to be able to bring the public and veterans together during a pandemic and honor those who have served our country, in war and peace.”

Starting today through Sunday, November 15, when guests make a purchase through dickeys.com or the Dickey’s App, they will have the option to add one, five or 10 Pulled Pork Classic Sandwiches to be delivered to local veteran organizations.
