One of the year's biggest food festivals has gotten even larger this year. The L.A. Street Food Fest, which takes place on July 21 inside the Rose Bowl, just announced that it has upped its vendor count to a staggering 100 participants, far exceeding last year's tally.
The cast includes many of L.A.'s most popular trucks, including Kogi, Frysmith, Border Grill and Mariscos Jalisco, plus recent arrivals Gravy Train Poutinerie and Fuji Foods. A genre-spanning collection of restaurants — including Antojitos Carmen, Mexicali Tacos, Lazy Ox, BLD and Short Order — will be serving up both new creations and classic specialties. The ever-popular “Baja Boys” (unofficial nickname) will travel north from Tijuana to show off their skills. Last year the ensemble of Mexican chefs, including Javier Plascencia, ran the table at the awards ceremony; they're looking to repeat this year.
Guests get access to a Singha beer garden, tequila tasting tent, cocktails, an ice cream social and more. Tickets are $45, or $65 for VIP (early admission), which is a ridiculous deal considering how much food ticket-holders have access to (seriously, start fasting now). No tickets are sold at the door, so make sure to get them presale via the L.A. Street Food Fest website. Turn the page for a complete list of vendors:
