64-Year-Old Motorist Dies after a Wrong-way Collision on Columbus Avenue

VAN NUYS, CA (August 10, 2023) – Late Sunday night, police were dispatched to a wrong-way collision that killed Vatkes Nalbandian. The incident happened on August 6th, shortly before 11:00 p.m., at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Columbus Avenue. According to reports, a 24-year-old driver was headed eastbound on Victory Boulevard and veered over in the westbound lanes. As a result, the driver collided with a vehicle driven by Nalbandian.
