Deadly DUI Crash on US Highway 101 Left Woman Dead

GILROY, CA (November 10, 2021) – A DUI crash on US Highway 101 claimed the life of Vanessa Arellano early Sunday morning.

The incident happened around 2:50 a.m., on the southbound lanes of Highway 101, south of San Martin Avenue.

According to the investigators, 23-year-old Joseph Feghhi was driving a 2016 Chevy Corvette and rear-ended a 2004 Toyota sedan.

As a result, the two vehicles veered off the roadway and knocked down a fence near the San Martin Airport.

Due to the impact, first responders declared the Toyota driver dead at the scene. The coroner’s office later identified the deceased victim as 26-year-old Vanessa Arellano of Castroville.

Meanwhile, authorities arrested Joseph Feghhi for suspicion of DUI.
