This just in. On Friday, May 21, Vampire Weekend keyboardist Rostam Batmanglij will debut his new Boys Like Us project at The Highlands in Highland Park.

No word as to whether or not he'll bring his own band, but Batmanglij will be accompanied by the Calder Quartet, the acclaimed L.A.-based string quartet that's earned its rock cred playing with the Airborne Toxic Event.

Calder will also accompany the night's other performers: folkster Cass McCombs and indie rockers Foreign Born, who were given the remix treatment by Boys Like Us in February.

The intimate show, which calls for a $15 advance donation (no tickets will be sold at the door) is being hosted by Hobo FM, a pirate radio station broadcasting out of Echo Park on 101.7.
