1 Injured, Drunk Driver Arrested in Traffic Accident on Bells Springs Road

GARBERVILLE, CA (May 5, 2022) – On Monday, authorities arrested Valerio Garcia Luna for DUI after a head-on crash on US 101.

According to the report, Garcia drove a white Nissan pickup going northbound on US 101, north of Bells Springs Road.

At the same time, the other driver, identified as Dalya Dhamar Olea of Fontana drove her Honda in the opposite direction.

However, Luna crossed the double yellow lanes into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the Honda.

Eventually, responders arrived at the scene and transported Olea to Howard Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Meanwhile, police booked Valerio Garcia Luna to Mendocino County Jail for DUI causing injuries.

Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Officials closed the southbound lane of US-101 for about an hour as they investigated and cleared out the scene.
