27-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Car Accident near Grand Avenue

CHINO HILLS, CA (January 19, 2022) – Early Monday morning, Valerie Mejia was killed in an auto collision on State Highway 71.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:05 a.m., just north of Grand Avenue.

At this time, the circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, responding medics pronounced 27-year-old Mejia dead at the scene around 12:25 a.m.

Additionally, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help with Mejia’s funeral expenses.

Emergency crews closed the surrounding area before it was later reopened during cleanup and preliminary duties.

No further details regarding the collision have been made public at this time.  However, more information will be provided once made available.
