You'd think after last week's massive Super Bowl weekend DUI crackdown that cops would give it a break already.

No timeouts here.

The Los Angeles Police Department is back on the case just in time for Valentine's weekend. You know what's not sexy? Spending time in jail instead of taking your Valentine out for an overpriced meal.

“The DUI checkpoints are a strategy that the Los Angeles Police Department is committed to in supporting Vision Zero, which is the City of Los Angeles goal of ending all traffic related collision deaths by 2025,” the department said in a statement. “The DUI checkpoints bring a laser focus to communities where DUI traffic collisions are occurring that are preventable through education and enforcement.”

Here's the 411, according to the LAPD:

-Tonight from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. a checkpoint will be awaiting your arrival at Victory Boulevard and Saint Clair Avenue in North Hollywood.

-Tonight from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. the LAPD will be operating a checkpoint on La Brea Avenue at Melrose Avenue in Hollywood.

-Saturday from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. a checkpoint will be running on Vermont Avenue at Fifth Street in Koreatown.

Be safe.
