Awwww. We think.
After a million-dollar lottery winner realized his fortune he called his wife.
She ordered him home ASAP.
This was spun as a pre-Valentine's Day love story by the California Lottery folks.
But we think it sounds a little like he's-scared-of-his-better-half coercion:
The man purchased a ticket Sunday morning at Vista Liquor, 2415 North San Fernando Boulevard in Burbank, according to lottery officials, who add:
… He promptly called his wife, who he referred to wisely as “the boss.” After her initial excitement calmed a bit, she told him “get home right now!”
Or what? I'll shoot?
Anyway, turns out his $10 Scratchers buy was a good investment for the longtime player.
But lottery folks are crediting wife Tina D. of Burbank with the score. (The victim husband wasn't ID'd.)
The pair plan to buy a house and car, lottery officials say, so it turns out February will be a lovely and romantic month for both.
We hope.
