If Tacolandia is our ode to the city's most important culinary import, then Burgers & Beer is our celebration of a powerful food-and-booze union. With the event less than a month away, the final list of restaurants, breweries and entertainment is now confirmed. And with Homeboy Industries announced as the event's charity partner, the party just got better.

On Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, our inaugural Burgers & Beer extravaganza will feature all-you-can-stuff-in-your-face samples of L.A.'s favorite burgers, along with limited samples from some of the region's best breweries and live music curated by Spaceland Presents. 

Curated by our staff of food and beer experts, the festival's lineup includes 41 restaurants, bars, food trucks and roadside stands and 35 breweries, many of them pouring as part of the event's partnership with the Los Angeles Brewers Guild. Burger selections include already announced burger makers such as Belcampo, Cassell's, Pie 'n Burger and Hawkins House of Burgers, plus new additions to the lineup, including East L.A.'s now-permanent pop-up Vaka Burger, the bizarro burger crafters at Myke's Cafe, Thomas Keller's legendary Bouchon and Hamburguesas Puntas Cabras, which recently closed its downtown location, making this a rare chance to try their short-lived but much-loved burgers. 

Breweries include L.A. Brewers Guild members such as award-winning Beachwood Brewing, Eagle Rock Brewery, Phantom Carriage and Ladyface Ale Companie, along with other local favorites, from Chino's I&I Brewing to Santa Barbara's Telegraph Brewing to Arts District newcomer Mumford Brewing. Musical acts include alt-country and Americana favorites The Far West Band, Charlie Overbey and the Broken Arrows and Geronimo Getty. 

Entry to the event includes unlimited food after craft beer samples plus access to the artisanal vendor village. Food-only tickets also are available. 

Make sure to get your tickets before July 19, when general admission tickets are only $70, VIP tickets (including entrance one hour early) are $90 and burger-only tickets are $50. After that date, ticket prices go up to $75 for general admission, $95 for VIP and $55 for burger-only sampling passes.
