The USC student who fell six stories at a residential hall after he reportedly attended a nearby rave-like festival and took ecstasy was in stable condition this week after several surgeries, an official at California Hospital Medical Center told the Weekly.

The fall had originally left 18-year-old Jackson Roddy in critical condition. It's still not clear why he fell.

He reportedly attended the two-day, rave-like Hard Haunted Mansion at the nearby Shrine Auditorium Halloween weekend.

The fall was reported at 6:03 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1. School officials told the Weekly it happened at Birnkrant Residential College.
