Here's a shot of the Dodd Mitchell-designed restaurant on Melrose Avenue (corner of Kilkea Drive) taking shape. The West Hollywood Red O, which is set to open in March of next year, is in the former Moustache Café (later Chocolat) space.

Details are currently sketchy, but we're told that the food will be Mexican and that a second Santa Monica spot (exact location as yet unknown) is likely to open in May. Jorge Pultera (previously at Koi and The Ivy) will be Director of Operations.

One thing's for sure: It will be moody and sexy. After all, Mitchell is the man who brought us Sushi Roku, Katana and Falcon, to name but three. More details as soon as we have them.
