UPDATE: The same owners will be remodeling the venue to make it more suitable for live performances. We have the EXCLUSIVE official statement by Dave Dickerson, co-owner of Cinespace:

After 9 years, Cinespace is closing on Tuesday, Feb. 1st with a big Dim Mak blowout headlined by Tinie Tempah.

The owners plan to turn the space into two separate venues.

“In the theatre area, we are joining forces with Steve Aoki and his Dim Mak lifestyle brand to deliver a unique pop-up bar experience called “Dim Mak Studios.”

“Expected to launch on Feb. 8, this space will have a new rear entrance and will continue to offer the most cutting edge music in the city on various nights.”

Don't expect to see the full extent of the renovations on the 8th, he says they will be making changes/improvements throughout the next several months.

As for the front of the house:

“There are plans for the front lounge as well, but we are not ready to announce those yet.”

-Dave Dickerson, co-owner of Cinespace.
