End Mass Incarceration of Women: Calling All Crows is a wonderful group that, in their own words, inspires “music fans to respond to issues affecting women by raising awareness, taking action, and collectively working for social change.”

They’re hosting an incredible live streamed event this week, along with the Multifaith Initiative to End Mass Incarceration, to benefit the Women’s Prison Association and A Little Piece of Light. The show will feature performances by “Lizzie No, Another Michael, Renee Goust, Raye Zaragoza, and Ajax Caravan with special guest actor/activist Gbenga Akinnagbe (‘The Wire/’The Deuce’).”

Raye Zaragoza said of the event in a statement: “I grew up in New York and love the energy, people and city so much. I’m proud to play in this show that’s honoring, supporting, and centering our incarcerated sisters and working toward the day when all of us are cared for, not caged.”

End Mass Incarceration of Women: Tune in at 4:30 p.m. PT on Thursday, April 8 via Facebook. Suggested donations apply.
