Under the Skin, director Jonathan Glazer’s sci-fi movie starring Scarlett Johansson, has earned plenty of accolades since it first hit the festival circuit in 2013. While you can watch the movie on Amazon Prime now, instant gratification doesn’t beat the experience of this event. This Tuesday-night screening at downtown venue the Regent features a live score conducted by Mica Levi, who won the Best Composer nod at the European Film Awards for her work on the film. Joining Levi is a 25-piece orchestra featuring members of Wild Up!, a self-described “experimental classical ensemble” from Los Angeles, as well as New York’s Wordless Orchestra, making its L.A. debut.
