A onetime UCLA student leader has pleaded no contest to “seven counts of sexual battery, four counts of simple battery and one count of false imprisonment,” the L.A. City Attorney's office announced today.

Prosecutors say 22-year-old Omar Arce was expelled from school following a fellow student's allegations of sexual assaults that spanned October 2013 to March.

He was the Undergraduate Students Association Council community service commissioner at UCLA last year.

Although sentencing was postponed for a year, Arce was taken into custody and would likely serve at least part of a 180-day stint behind bars, the office stated:

He is also required to stay away from the UCLA campus … , abide by protective orders covering the victims, abstain from alcohol consumption, stay away from places where alcohol is the chief item for sale, and pay any restitution.

Prosecutors say that if Arce fails to abide he'll get an automatic year in jail and have to register as a sex offender. If he stays clean for a year, he won't have to register as a sex offender, a City Attorney's spokesman told us.

The UCLA Daily Bruin reports that the former campus politician is not a citizen and could also face deportation because he's been convicted.

A restitution hearing was scheduled for Dec. 23.
