Who in their right mind would take a taxi all the way to Las Vegas just for one night?

You might do it if the cost, including round trip, one night's stay in a Terrace Studio at the Cosmopolitan hotel, and free entrance to Marquee Nightclub, was $300 a person (which is less than even some local Uber rides). You might be especially persuaded if it wasn't a taxi at all but more like a limo.

The folks at Uber this week announced this wacky deal for you fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants L.A. partiers:

And, frankly, who among us hasn't done the last-minute trip to Vegas? This one comes with a town car or similar, limo-like UberBlack vehicle.

We asked Uber spokesman Andrew Noyes why someone would do this instead of flying. He said:

It is roundtrip in a luxury vehicle PLUS overnight at the Cosmo. If you fare-split with three friends it's only a few hundred bucks per person for the roundtrip transportation and hotel.

This #VegasOnDemand package, available starting today and lasting through March 2, costs a total of $1,200. But the ride, the hotel and club entrance is good for four, according to Uber. (At least one of you has to be 21 to check in at the hotel).

Extra bonus: No surge pricing here.

You can book it via Uber's app and have a driver at your door (or bar) within minutes. And, like those other times you decided to make a midnight run to Vegas last-minute, you don't necessarily have to be sober. Someone will drive for you.

You can also enter to win the whole trip for free if you're 21 or older. All the info you need is here.

Remember to pace yourself. Not everyone can be Hunter S. Thompson.
