Two-Vehicle Crash on Nicolaus Avenue Left U.S. Marshal Hurt
SUTTER COUNTY, CA (August 9, 2023) – Thursday morning, a U.S. marshal was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 70. The incident occurred around 7:20 a.m. at State Route 70 near Nicolaus Avenue. According to the investigators, the marshal noticed an accident and was going to do a U-turn from the northbound side of Highway 70 to assist. He was hit from behind while making the turn, causing his SUV to roll over, injuring him in the process. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after. No other injuries were reported from the crash at this time.
