Rebekah Kencke and One Other Injured in Head-On Collision near Dora Creek

LEGGETT, CA (August 17, 2022) – Friday night, Tyson Young was arrested in a DUI Crash that injured Rebekah Kencke and a teenaged girl.

The incident happened on August 12th, at around 7:11 p.m., on Highway 101 near Dora Creek.

According to California Highway Patrol, Young was driving a gold Toyota Tundra southbound on the highway, when he crossed the double yellow lines, and struck a maroon KIA Sedona that was headed northbound. The KIA had five occupants, Joe Kencke, Rebekah Kencke, and three children. The impact of the crash injured Rebekah and one of the children.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after and transported Young to Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital, Rebekah to Jerold Phelps Community Hospital, and the teenaged girl to UC Davis Medical Center, for treatment of moderate to major injuries.

Afterward, 41-year-old Tyson Young was arrested with the charges of driving under the influence.
