DUI Crash on Pacific Avenue Left Tyrone Tate Arrested

LONG BEACH, CA (November 30, 2021) – Police arrested Tyrone Tate after a DUI crash on Pacific Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

The fatal incident occurred around 5:50 p.m., near 12th Street. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

Investigators say the suspect was driving a 2016 Nissan Sentra when he struck a 62-year-old woman walking across Pacific Avenue. The female victim from the crash succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

Meanwhile, police booked 68-year-old Tyrone Tate for suspected DUI and carrying a concealed firearm. His bail was set at $100,000.

At this time, Long Beach authorities are asking anyone with information about the case to contact detectives at 562-570-7355.
