2 Killed in Car Crash near Interstate 805

CHULA VISTA, CA (October 6, 2022) – Saturday morning, a car accident on East Palomar Street claimed the lives of two people.

The fatal crash happened around 9:53 a.m., near the intersection of East Palomar Street and the I-805 Freeway off-ramp.

According to several witnesses, the driver of a Nissan Rouge traveled through the intersection and collided with a concrete and steel wall for reasons still under investigation.

Officials declared the driver and the passenger of the Nissan dead at the scene. However, their identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
