If you want to vote geographically in Tommy Bahama's search for their first ever Rumologist, a contest/publicity stunt that launched in late July, you have two local options among the 20 finalists: Matthew Robold of Orange, well known to local cocktail hounds as RumDood (@rumdood) and Phil Thompson, who has “10+ years of experience as a server and bartender” and “a passion for bartending and the 'Tommy Bahama' lifestyle.”

The winner receives a $50,000 prize, a wardrobe of bad tiki shirts and a gig as a brand ambassador/cocktail inventor. You can read about the finalists, watch their 60-second videos and vote for your favorite via Facebook. The winner will be announced in October 2011.
