Traffic Accident on Southbound Interstate 5 Left Two Dead

YOLO COUNTY, CA (July 26, 2022) – Two unidentified people lost their lives Friday following a two-vehicle crash along Interstate 5.

The accident occurred around 7:00 a.m. on southbound Interstate 5 on July 15th, according to officials.

As per reports, the California Highway Patrol responded to a report of a collision between a 2004 Dodge and a 2018 Freightliner.

Furthermore, paramedics arrived and declared the driver and passenger of the Dodge dead at the scene, due to the extent of their injuries.

Authorities currently have not released their names at this time, pending notification of their next of kin.

Meanwhile, there is no information on whether the truck driver sustained any injuries from the incident.

At this time, police did not consider drugs and alcohol factored in the crash. However, an active investigation into the fatal two-vehicle crash along Interstate 5 is still underway.
