Wrong-Way Collision near Bell Road Kills Two

SURPRISE, AZ (August 5, 2022) – On Wednesday, a wrong-way crash on Loop 303 killed two and injured two others.

The accident occurred on August 3rd, at around 9:00 p.m. on Loop 303 near Bell Road.

According to reports, an older woman was traveling southbound on in the northbound lanes of Loop 303. There, her vehicle collided with a second vehicle, occupied by a woman and two small children.

Emergency crews arrived at the site of the crash shortly after and pronounced the wrong-way driver dead at the scene. Medics then rushed the driver of the second vehicle and two children, a 2-year-old and an 8-month-old, to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries.

The 2-year-old girl later died at the hospital. The adult woman and 8-month-old boy are said to be in serious condition.

Meanwhile, the Department of Public Safety said that speed or impairment did not seem to be the factor if the crash.

Further investigations are still underway, and any witnesses to the wrong-way crash on Loop 303 are encouraged to contact local authorities.
