Two Separate Crashes in San Diego I-5 Left 2 Pedestrian Dead

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 15, 2021) Two pedestrian crashes on I-5 claimed the life of two people on Thursday, according to San Diego Police.

Initially, an incident occurred around 12:15 A.M. on Interstate 5 at State Route 56 in Carmel Valley.

Afterwards, the second crash happened shortly after 5 A.M. between Interstate 8 and I-5 in Mission Valley.

At this time, the identity of the deceased victims and the circumstances behind the two crashes remain unclear.

The California Highway Patrol ruled out intoxication as a factor that contributed to both incidents.

San Diego Officials will continue to investigate the two pedestrian crashes.
