2 Pronounced Dead after Fiery Collision near Nebraska Street

VALLEJO, CA (January 14, 2022) – A fiery solo-car crash on Shasta Street claimed the life of two people Saturday night.

The fatal incident happened around 9:30 p.m., on the 1000 block of Shasta near Nebraska Street according to the responding officers.

Upon arrival, authorities located a vehicle fully engulfed in flames after it struck a tree. The two occupants inside the vehicle were trapped and pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, authorities are yet to disclose the names of the people involved in the crash. Additionally, the events leading up to the crash are still unclear.

The surrounding area was closed during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
