At Least Two Hurt after Two-Vehicle Collision on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 27, 2022) On Wednesday, two people sustained injuries after a two-vehicle collision on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.

The accident took place at the intersection of Sunset Cliffs and Nimitz boulevards around 9:50 p.m., per initial reports.

According to the CHP, for reasons unknown, a 26-year-old woman driving a 2015 Kia Sol rear-ended a stopped 2008 Nissan Altima.

As a result, a 25-year-old passenger in the Kia suffered serious injuries. The Nissan’s 40-year-old driver also complained of head pain.

Paramedics then transported both victims to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities believe their injuries are not life-threatening.

San Diego officials are still investigating the crash for more information and will release updates once available.
